About Us
At Light House Designs, we work alongside award‑winning architects, interior designers, and landscape designers on prestigious projects across the globe. Our expertise spans high‑end residential lighting (interior and exterior), as well as leisure, hospitality, and commercial projects.
While we do not currently have active vacancies, we are always keen to connect with confident, capable designers who enjoy creating innovative and inspirational lighting schemes and can clearly communicate design proposals to clients.
We are looking for individuals who can … But are not limited to.
- Collaborating with clients and design teams to develop briefs and present ideas
- Pitching creative concepts and overall design vision
- Producing concepts, mood imagery, lighting layouts, specifications, and control schedules
- Specifying and assisting with commissioning and control systems, alongside AV specialists
- Supporting and attending project commissioning where required
- Managing project timelines and budgets
- Delegating technical queries and making effective use of technical support
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
- Logging project procurement accurately
- Attending and supporting project completion photography
- Keeping informed of market trends and research to guide design decisions
- Sharing software updates and workflow improvements with the team
- Minimum of five years’ experience within a lighting design studio
- Extensive OEM technical product knowledge
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Confident user of Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with DiaLux (advantageous – we do not currently use Relux)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to excel
- Positive and resilient under pressure
- Enthusiastic, curious, and keen to stay current within the industry
- Open to learning and professional development
- Flexible and adaptable, with strong organisational skills
- Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
- Understanding of health and safety regulations related to lighting installations
- Experience working within a collaborative, creative studio environment
- Willingness to travel for site visits and industry events
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when projects require
- Salary dependant on experience
- Commission scheme on projects you bring in (Phase 1, excluding existing LHD relationships)
